Shipping & Returns


Shipping Policy  

All prices quoted on this site are in Canadian Dollars.  

North by Northwest ships free of charge any purchase of $99.00 CAD or over.   Orders under $99.00 are subject to a flat rate shipping fee of $15.00 CAD.  We will ship purchases anywhere in Canada and the continental USA.  For overseas orders, you can choose to get your order shipped via surface (usually takes 8 to 10 weeks) or by air (about 1 week) at checkout time.

Orders are usually processed the same business day and will be shipped within 3 business days. North by Northwest does not ship on weekends or statutory holidays.  

In rare situations, an item may be unavailable due to an inventory discrepancy or another factor. In such cases, we will contact you immediately via e-mail or telephone. 

The checkout process and the information you enter during checkout is protected with SSL Encryption from Comodo.

We accept PayPal, Visa and MasterCard as methods of payment. To process your payment, the billing address information you enter during checkout must match the information that your credit card provider has on file. 

When you submit an order through our online store, your credit card will be authorized for the total cost of the ordered item(s), applicable taxes, shipping and handling costs. When your order is shipped, North by Northwest will charge a total against the authorization that reflects the total cost of the shipped item(s), plus applicable taxes, shipping and handling costs. 

Due to supplier restrictions, we may be unable to ship certain products or brands across international boundaries.


Order Status Descriptions:  

You will receive an e-mail confirmation after placing an order with us.  You can log into our site and track your order processing.  Your order will have one of these statuses. Here are the details about what the status mean. 

Awaiting Fulfillment: We have been notified of your order.

Pending: Your order is being worked on.

Awaiting Shipment: We have confirmation that the item(s) in your order are available and are waiting to complete processing.

Shipped: Your product has been shipped. You should have received your tracking number via e-mail.

Refunded: Full/Partial refund has been given to you.

Cancelled: Your order has been cancelled. If you paid by PayPal, your money would have already been returned.  If you used Visa/Mastercard, then the authorization for your order is cancelled.

Declined: Your order has been declined due to incomplete or possible fraudulent circumstances.

Return Policy  

North by Northwest is proud of the merchandise it sells.  

  • Refund or exchanges will be offered on goods returned in original condition within 14 days of receipt. 
  • All sales final on clearance merchandise reduced by 50% or greater.
  • All internet returns and exchanges must be authorized, unless it is returned to one of our stores in person. Please e-mail your request to ecommerce@northbynorthwest.ca or call us at 519-621-9942 x-320
  • After receiving your return authorization number, please return your parcel via Canada post or the US Postal Service only.
  • It is the customer’s responsibility to pay for all return postage and insurance cost. 

Manufacturer's Warranty

At the manufacturer’s discretion, we will repair, replace, or credit your purchase.
